Nature Conservation

One of the things closest to my heart is the plight of the natural world, in particular Africa’s wildlife. Most people don’t realise how many species are critically endangered, in other words, threatened with extinction, not to mention the numerous species we have already lost. In South Africa we currently have 83 species listed as critically endangered. Worldwide this number is an incredibly scary 4715 species that are CRITICALLY ENDANGEREDIUCN 2014. Gone are the days where we as human beings can plunder the planet’s natural resources with the belief that they are infinite and there are no consequences! Each and every one of us has a responsibility to the environment around us. These days there is enough information available that ignorance can no longer be an excuse for damaging the environment. Through my blog I hope I’ll be able to do my part to raise awareness and contribute wherever I can to protecting the environment.
